Step off the beaten path for a journey through Hong Kong’s most atmospheric districts. This 3-hour private tour is designed for those who want to see how global street art and the traditional character of these historic neighborhoods intersect. We bypass the commercial ‘mural villages’ to find the authentic works tucked into back alleys, residential steps, and quiet community spaces.
I offer a curated narrative of the scene, moving at your pace through the winding streets of the Western District. Together, we’ll explore the stories ‘behind the paint’ and look at how these works interact with the local environment. To capture the spirit of the day, you’ll receive an instant-film memento—a tangible piece of Hong Kong's ephemeral art scene to take home.

Our journey begins at Stone Coffee in Sai Ying Pun, meeting in front of the evocative stencil by Italian artist Alice Pasquini. From there, we’ll make our way through this traditional neighbourhood, navigating the steep, winding descents and hidden corners where atmospheric works sit tucked away from the main roads. We’ll make our way via Queen’s Road West into the Sheung Wan neighbourhood, winding through New Street and the little urban oasis of Hollywood Park before moving into the creative heart of Tai Ping Shan, concluding our stroll among the dense layers of art found along Square Street and Tank Lane.

Neighbourhood Character: As we follow the downward slopes of the Western District, we’ll see how street art lives alongside local businesses and traditional life, sharing the stories of the artists who have shaped these walls over the years.
